Keto Carnivore Dessert: Cream Pops

Looking for a sweet treat that is keto-friendly and fits into your keto-carnivore lifestyle? These cream pops are satisfying and easy to make with three simple ingredients: cream cheese, Truvia (or your favorite keto-friendly sweetener), and heavy whipping cream!

These keto carnivore dessert cream pops are a family favorite. I literally make them at least once a week, because while my husband and I try to stick to a full-on animal-based way of eating, we do occasionally want something a little sweet. And, our kids love them too, so they’re hard to keep around!

Keto vs. Carnivore

I call this a “Keto Carnivore Dessert” because it does have a non-animal product ingredient; Truvia. To stay within a strict carnivore diet plan, omit the Truvia.

For me, the small amount is so negligible that I don’t mind adding it in, but I understand that some folks like to stay 100%, and may even find sweeteners can cause them cravings or reactions.

If you omit the Truvia, the cream pops still taste great- a little more tangy but still quite yummy!

How To Make Keto Carnivore Dessert Cream Pops

Ingredients:

• 8 oz cream cheese (softened)

• 2-3 tablespoons Truvia (adjust to taste)

• 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream

Supplies:

• Jelly roll pan

• Parchment paper

• Hand mixer

• Toothpicks

• Cookie scoop or spoon

Instructions:

1. Soften the Cream Cheese: Let the cream cheese sit at room temperature for about 15-20 minutes until it becomes soft and easy to mix.

2. Get your Pan Ready: While the cream cheese is softening, get out a large pan and cover with parchment paper.

3. Mix in the Sweetener: Once your cream cheese is soft, use a hand mixer or whisk to blend it until smooth. Gradually add in 2-3 tablespoons of Truvia, tasting as you go until the sweetness is to your liking. Add in the heavy whipping cream (around 1/4 cup) and blend until smooth.

4. Scoop: Scoop the cream cheese mixture into little balls- this works best with a cookie dough scooper, but you can use a spoon as well. You should get about 12 cream pops per one pack of cream cheese.

5. Add Toothpicks: Insert a toothpick halfway through the cream cheese ball.

6. Freeze: Place the pan in the freezer for at least 3-4 hours or until the cream pops are completely frozen.

7. Enjoy! Once frozen, remove the cream pops from the molds and enjoy this rich, creamy, keto-friendly treat!

Tips:

Optional Flavor Variations: You can experiment by adding small amounts of vanilla extract, unsweetened cocoa powder, sugar-free peanut butter or unsweetened baking chocolate for an extra flavor twist while still keeping it low carb.

For Extra Creaminess: Up the heavy cream to 1/4 cup for a lighter texture and even more indulgence.

These keto carnivore dessert cream pops are a great way to satisfy your sweet tooth while staying within your keto and carnivore diet goals. Plus, they’re a hit with both adults and kids! Give them a try, and let me know how they turn out!
